American Board of Trial Advocates Foundation Names Firm Founder John H. Kim 2021 National Vice President

HOUSTON – Members of the American Board of Trial Advocates Foundation (ABOTA) have elected Houston trial attorney John H. Kim to serve as its 2021 national vice president.

Mr. Kim has been promoting ABOTA’s goals for civic education and civility since 2002. Additionally, he has repeatedly served on the organization’s national board as well as its National Trial College faculty. In 2012, he held the position of president for the Houston chapter and was a TEX-ABOTA Foundation liaison.  He was elected a trustee to the Foundation and has served in various positions since 2017.

ABOTA is an invitation-only organization of 7,600 experienced trial lawyers and judges and 96 chapters dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment right to a civil jury trial. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience.

My respect for the Constitution and American jury system is unwavering, and I will use this appointment to continue promoting the sanctity of our jury trials for future generations,” said Mr. Kim.

Mr. Kim is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and has been consistently recognized as a Top 100 attorney in Houston by Texas Super Lawyers since 2013. He was Tex-ABOTA’s Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2018.  His expertise in complex commercial litigation, Oil & Gas, personal injury and product liability claims also earned him eight consecutive Benchmark Litigation Star designations.
