Houston Attorney John Kim Recognized Among Nation’s Top Litigators for 2017

HOUSTON – Houston attorney John H. Kim is being honored as a national Litigation Star, and The Kim Law Firm is included among a list of recommended law firms in the 2017 edition of Benchmark Litigation, a peer-review guide to leading U.S. lawyers and law firms.

Mr. Kim, known for his courtroom talents and expertise at handling complex commercial litigation, has been honored by Benchmark Litigation for the past three years as a Local Litigation Star. This marks the second year he has been recognized in the national listing, which is based on assessments from other litigators.

Mr. Kim won “resounding reverence from peers,” Benchmark Litigation writes in its analysis online. One lawyer commented, “John Kim is a fine lawyer. He is very strong in connecting with juries, and he has a big personality. He is from the cut of the larger-than-life plaintiff trial lawyer.” Another called him “very talented,” “a good courtroom lawyer” and “very entrepreneurial.”

In addition to evaluations from other lawyers, Benchmark Litigation spends months researching the work of attorneys and reviewing their cases. This is just one of the lawyer rating groups that Mr. Kim has impressed. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and regularly makes Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyers list, this year earning selection as one of the Top 100 attorneys in the state.

Mr. Kim is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is the past president of the Houston chapter of the elite American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Kim and his firm represent defendants and plaintiffs nationwide in oil & gas litigation, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, securities litigation, claims of tortious interference and trade secret actions. The Kim Law Firm has recovered more than a half billion dollars for clients directly and through counterclaims through aggressive litigation. The firm represents entrepreneurs, business start-ups, mid-sized companies, and established national and international corporations in everything from contract and complex business disputes to insider trading allegations, product liability and other intellectual property disputes.
